Purpose
To assist adult cancer patients play "hooky" from cancer by getting out and having fun. Help participants identify activities they would like to do, accompany them, and provide transportation if necessary.

Responsibilities
Activities – help participants identify activities they would like to do, accompany them, and provide transportation if necessary.

Contact with participant – regular contact with participant is necessary even when they are not doing activities. Act as a volunteer "buddy".

Contact with office – ensure that activities and volunteer hours are being recorded on a monthly basis.

Commitment to the mission of Diana Price-Fish Cancer Foundation: "Helping adult cancer patients enjoy life."

Prior volunteer experience.

Previous experience working with adults with illnesses.

Commitment
A minimum 6-month commitment is requested. Monthly commitment varies depending on the requests of the participant (1 activity per month maximum).

Training
All volunteers are asked to attend a Diana Price-Fish Cancer Foundation Volunteer Training within the first 6 months of their volunteer commitment.
