Rosebud Volunteer Job Description
Purpose
To assist individual cancer patients and help the cancer patient plan enjoyable activities providing companionship and a welcomed time out for the cancer patient and their support system.

Reports To
Executive Director, Program Director
Responsibilities
Activities -- help participants identify activities they would like to do, accompany them, and provide transportation if necessary.
Contact with participant -- regular contact with participant is necessary even when they are not doing activities. Act as a volunteer "buddy".
Contact with office -- ensure that activities and volunteer hours are being recorded on a monthly basis.
Helpful qualifications include:
Commitment to the mission of the Diana Price-Fish Cancer Foundation: "Helping adult cancer patients enjoy life."
Prior volunteer experience.
Previous experience working with adults with illnesses.
Commitment
A minimum 6-month commitment is requested. Monthly commitment varies depending on the requests of the participant (1 activity per month maximum).
Training
All volunteers are asked to attend a Diana Price-Fish Cancer Foundation Volunteer Training within the first 6-months of their volunteer commitment.
